We arrived in Yuma around 11 a.m. on Oct. 22 and after having a delicious breakfast of Sweet Potato Pancakes (you know where, Betty and Dave!) we started scouting out the rv lots and calling owners. We finally contacted the owners of this lot and after having a quick look, we knew this was the one. Very nice owners who live in Oregon and are not travelling down this season. We are not sure yet if they will find someone else for the other side, but for now we are enjoying the whole lot.
The front window of the coach looks over to the 5th hole of the Executive Golf Course in the Foothills. It is closed for re-seeding but should be open again next Wed. Ron already has the bird feeders up and is doing a little gardening. The shed in the photo has a washer and dryer.
There is one lot across the street with neighbours, but we are mostly surrounded by empty lots and an empty house next door on the corner. It is still early in the season for most people to be down here. Not sure if the economy will affect people's travels here or not.

Great that you found such a lovely lot! I can imagine that you are getting the place "homey" - and across from a golf course??? Why am I NOT surprised!!!! Have an awesome time you two sweeties! :-))
Looks like you are settling in fine...How is the herb pot growing? Not sure about that golf course-does it have a small driving range attached? One where you couldnt use anything bigger than a 5 iron????
Enjoy the sunsets! ttfn G&S

Glad to hear that you have arrived....will Yuma ever be the same???
I envy you the 30 degrees it has been lovely and sunny here and quite warm during the day but very chilly at night.
I hope your eye is better Karen...what a start for your trip.
